Our expectations for for great fishing on Lake Okeechobee this year are extremely high.
Folks, we have been having a blast on Big "O" bass fishing. We are seeing more and more action on the water as weather starts to cool down the bass have migrated shallow off the main lake and willing to bite just about anything. We witnessing fantastic top water action and working senko style baits across lily pads for bass just exploding with great force. The artificial bite continues to be just short of unbelievable and live-bait (wild shiners for trophy fish) are always great for bring up the numbers and relaxing while doing so.
Lake Okeechobee means big water and is renowned for sheer numbers of bass it contains per acre, the lake produces more Florida trophy bass over 8 pounds than any lake in Florida and probably the United States. The Big "O" is a bass factory and is getting better every year.
If your a die hard angler, weekend angler, seasonal angler or just getting started in to fishing, Lake Okeechobee is the place to create everlasting memories!
