MLM Training Are Prospects Not Paying Attention To Your Presentation
What does it take to get your prospects interested in your presentation and actually paying attention to it? Tim Sales has a surprising answer to this question. You'd be surprised at how simple it is, and yet incredibly powerful when you apply the following training tip to your MLM business.
Following is an excerpt of an email from a FirstClassMLMTools.com website visitor:
"Hi Tim,
Your CD, Brilliant Compensation, was shared with me a couple of years ago by my upline. I now share it with prospects. However, I am still struggling to get people to 'pay attention.'
1. I realize 'everyone' says they have the 'best of the best,' however, getting across to people that our company truly does have something 'very unique' that 'no one' can copy, because we have exclusive patent rights to our formulations, has still been a tough sell. We also 'honestly' have one of the 'best' marketing plans in the industry, and have been touted by many as 'The #1 Networking Company in the Entire History of Networking!' Well, with information like this to share you would think people would be 'jumping' on board...not so.
2. We don't care what anyone says, Wisconsin's market seems almost impossible!
PLEASE HELP!!!
Bless you for all that you do!
Sincerely,
Debbie"
Tim's response to the above:
Alright Debbie, let me see if I can help you.
In your first question, you state that your company truly does have something very unique that no one can copy, and that your compensation plan is the "best" in the industry.
I'm reminded of someone who sent in a question a while back and made very similar statements, only this person had sent in what he had said during a one-on-one presentation.
He said that he, "explained the compensation plan and how it was incredible, and how the company was touted as being one of the fastest growing companies in the USA." After the presentation though, the girl (he was presenting to) said, "why are you telling me all this? You barely mentioned the product! I could never even think about selling something where I don't know about the product."
Then she got up and left the room.
Something very important to remember in your MLM training: you're trying to get people to PAY ATTENTION, but they are not going to PAY ATTENTION until you talk about something THEY want to hear about!
You obviously are very interested in the fact that your company has very unique products and a compensation plan that is the best in the industry. Also obvious is the fact that your prospects in Wisconsin don't care about those things at all.
You will NEVER get the attention of anyone until you talk about what they want to talk about; whether you're talking to a toddler, a teenager, a person from Wisconsin or a person from Mexico.
My recommendation is to go back and really listen to Professional Inviter. Pay particular attention to Communication Quality #1, which is: "Be interested in your prospect." Being interested in your prospect is very different than trying to GET your prospect to be interested in what you or your company has to offer. Find out what your prospect wants, then help them get it; IF your business can help them get it.
As an example, let's suppose that you're talking to a prospect and he says to you that he wants to buy a new bass fishing boat. Can that incredible compensation plan that your company offers, help your prospect get a bass fishing boat? Of course it can! Ask the prospect why he doesn't have it yet. He may tell you that he doesn't have the money. Then ask, "Are you doing anything to make extra money so you can buy a bass fishing boat?" He will obviously tell you, "no" he's not. Then ask, "I have a DVD that will help you get a bass fishing boat, do you want me to send it to you?"
Guess what? He will PAY ATTENTION now!
As for your second question, I've never traveled to a city, state or country where the people who've picked me up at the airport have said, "This is the best city to build a network marketing business." They all say, "This city/state/country is a very difficult place to build a networking business."
If there is such a thing as a "tougher" market, it doesn't change the fundamentals of network marketing. The fundamentals are: make people's life better. In a tough market, you may need to do those fundamentals more often than in an "easy" market.
Hope this helps,
Tim Sales
P.S. Of course, Professional Inviter has lots more strategies to get your prospect to pay attention and take action. Communication Quality #1 is a good start, but to really get your best results, you need to know them all. Then you'll be saying what Mack says: "My numbers have gone up 70%."
