How To Plan Bass Fishing Trips
If you are a bass fishing enthusiast then the likelihood is that you want to spread your wings and dip your toes in the waters of a brand new place. You may want to try out lakes that you have read about, pools that friends have recommended and rivers that you have seen on TV. If this is the case then it is time to start planning a bass fishing trip with your fellow bass fishing enthusiasts!
Planning a bass fishing trip is not like every other event or trip you usually plan because the final activity can be just as good as the planning itself.
However, in order to prevent a let down when you get out on the lake, it is imperative that you plan and plan and plan prior to leaving for your destination. There is so much to consider when you are planning a bass fishing trip but the following factors will give you a checklist to follow so organizing one will be much easier and you will enjoy all of the benefits when you get to the lake, pool or river far more!
Destination- Before you can plan any bass fishing trip, you need to be able to identify exactly where you want to go. The city or area of a specific state is not good enough. You have to find out the names of the specific lakes that you want to fish in and then plan your trip around that. Of course, this is the first thing that you should do before considering anything else. When you have nailed down a final destination and the lakes and pools that you wish to fish in, you should look at exactly where you are going to stay during the dates that you have earmarked for the trip.
Trip Duration - Your bass fishing trip can be as long or as short as you want it to be. If you plan to do other things whilst on your trip then you might want to look at a longer break but if you think that you can fish flat out for the entire duration then any period of time from a weekend upwards should be enough for you.
Accommodation - Before sorting out your equipment and other details, you need to make sure that you have somewhere to stay. It might be that you are taking a trailer with you or are camping, in which case you just need to make sure that you have everything you need. However, if you are booking a hotel or renting a lodge then you should do so well in advance to avoid everything being booked up at a later date. This especially applies if bass fishing season is in full swing because you just never know.
